Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
TwinLens is an iOS app that records simultaneous portrait (9:16) and landscape (16:9) video from your iPhone's cameras. This policy describes what data the app accesses and how it handles that data.
What TwinLens accesses
- Camera. To record video. Footage is processed only on your device.
- Microphone. To record audio along with your video. Audio is processed only on your device.
- Photo Library. To save your recordings to a dedicated "TwinLens" album in Photos, and to let you delete a just-saved take from within the app.
- Disk space. TwinLens reads your device's available storage to warn you before recording fills it.
- App settings. Your recording preferences (resolution, frame rate, quality, format, camera assignment, grid, stabilization) are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults so they persist between app launches.
What TwinLens does NOT do
- No accounts. TwinLens does not require sign-in and does not create a user account.
- No cross-app tracking. TwinLens does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
- No advertising. TwinLens does not show ads and does not integrate any advertising SDKs.
- No usage analytics. TwinLens does not collect behavioral data, screen views, taps, or general usage analytics.
- Your recordings stay on your device. TwinLens never uploads, shares, or transmits your videos. They live in your Photos library and nowhere else.
In-app purchases and subscription management
If you subscribe to TwinLens or purchase a lifetime unlock, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. TwinLens does not see or store your payment information. Apple's own privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy
To validate your subscription status across devices and reinstalls, TwinLens uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- An anonymous app-generated user identifier (not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID)
- The purchase event details (which product was purchased, when, and its renewal status)
- Basic device information (device model, iOS version, country, app version)
This is the only data that leaves your device. RevenueCat's privacy policy explains how they handle this information: revenuecat.com/privacy
Children's privacy
TwinLens is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
